A programmer at heart, with a Computer Science background pretty much anything computer related is an interest. I haven’t done a lot of serious programming lately, but I am looking to change that with Mulesoft design and development. I still try to work with C/C++ and the more lower level programming languages to keep my skills up to date. I have been big into Powershell development lately, for work. I work in IT, mostly with Windows environments, but usually more at the architectural level, so I like to play with the latest operating systems (Windows/Linux) and various Microsoft applications (SQL Server, SharePoint, Exchange, etc.) to keep those skills up to date as well.

I initially started this blog to help me keep track of the various coffee experiments and food related musings that occasionally pop into my head, but I am looking to include more day to day ideas, thoughts, and experiences. I was concentrating on coffee and coffee related subjects: tastings, roasting, preparation methods, and the numerous beans that I roast at home, but I have expanded that to teas and various other things. As a dedicated geek, caffeine powers my day, but it’s more than the caffeine rush. I hope that I can describe the journey from green beans to fresh roasted beans to the first cup of coffee, as it can truly be an immersive experience as well as provide an interesting take on general topics as well.

    1. Hi Christina! It was great to meet you guys as well. Winning is nice, but as long as you have fun, then everybody wins (in theory anyway, haha)! Thanks for the comment, and your blog definitely will get some comments when I can get some time to try out some recipes. I like cooking too, but my posts were more about smoking meats, so maybe I can dig those up, and post some more.
